A Celebration of Isaac Rosenberg (1890-1918) with Vahni Capildeo, Elizabeth Cook, Ian Duhig, Jean Liddiard, Deborah Maccoby, Tony Rudolf, Jeffrey Wainwright, John Whale and others.
Join us to commemorate the life and artistic achievement of poet and artist Isaac Rosenberg who died on the Western Front on 1 April 1918. The celebration will include an exhibition, round table, talks, and readings by the poets.

15:00-16:00 Lecture: Jean Liddiard ‘”Iron, honey, gold” (from August 1914 by Isaac Rosenberg); artist, writer and soldier’.
16:00-16:10 Refreshments.
16:10-17:25 Elizabeth Cook, ‘Isaac Rosenberg: “a poet to paint a poet”‘; Jeffrey Wainwright, ‘Rosenberg’s “poeting”‘; Deborah Maccoby, ‘In what way is Rosenberg a Jewish poet?’
17:30-18:15 Roundtable with Elizabeth Cook, Jean Liddiard, Deborah Maccoby and Tony Rudolf.
18:15-19:15 Readings by Vahni Capildeo, Elizabeth Cook, Ian Duhig, Tony Rudolf and Jeffrey Wainwright.
